IMF: Hong Kong’s Dollar Peg ‘Merits Continued Support’

Hong Kong should continue to peg its currency to the U.S.
dollar, the International Monetary Fund said after the city-state’s former
central banker suggested earlier in the day the exchange rate could be linked to
the Chinese yuan or a basket of currencies.
國際貨幣基金組織(IMF)表示，香港應繼續(xù)實行盯住美元的聯(lián)系匯率制度。IMF的此番表示是針對香港金融管理局前總裁任志剛周二有關港元匯率可以與人民幣或一籃子外國貨幣掛鉤的建議。
